British Columbia stands alone -- the only Canadian province to charge head-tax-like premiums for health care coverage. It seems clear that B.C. should follow the lead of other provinces in eliminating its flat-rate MSP premiums! A family making $30,001 has 6% of their income taken as a MSP Premium. A family making $3,000,000 has only 0.06% income taken. That is why this cash grab is regressive and arbitrary! The less money you make the more you pay is not how standard criteria for taxation is supposed to work British Columbians want change and transparency not hints and extra forms to fill out!
