FAQ

Q: Why doesn’t the City of Atlanta designate the building as a local landmark so it can’t be demolished?

A: The City was in the process of doing that last year when the developer threatened a lawsuit. If the City denies the demolition permit now, it’s very likely they’ll sue.

Q: Can the proposed hotel and restaurant be built while keeping the existing building(s)?

A: Yes! The area where the 152 Nassau building sits is proposed as an off-street loading and trash pick-up area. These activities can be accommodated on Nassau Street, Walton Street, or Centennial Olympic Park Drive or in the proposed through-block driveway.

Q: What would Jimmy Buffett do?

A: That’s a very good question! Hopefully he’ll put his history degree to use and help us save this American music landmark.
