Dear Supporters,

We regret to inform you that the South African Human Rights Commission has closed its file on our matter. Despite clear evidence of systemic harm, the Commission has chosen to condone the practice of "throttling" and found no unlawful conduct on the part of the water entities.

This outcome only strengthens our resolve. We have formally renewed our Petition and reaffirmed our collective commitment to accountability. The matter will now be tabled in Parliament, where we intend to ensure that our voices—and the rights of affected communities—are heard without obstruction.

Should institutional remedies continue to fail, are we actively considering a Class Action as a viable legal recourse.
