Dear Supporters,

The petition with intention of tabling before Parliament was revised due to a lack of overwhelming support expected and we have decided to register and to bring this plea before Council instead, especially considering CoJ's implication in the matter.

We will still approach the Government and the Department of Water and Sanitation for intervention as originally intended. 

A planned visit to the SAHRC offices in the course of next week to seek recourse and to lodge a complaint regarding the alleged contravention of the Water Services Act is on the cards.

As we believe those responsible for the ongoing Human Right Violations in the Metropole must be held accountable.

Please forward the petition to as many as possible for signatures, as proven support will be of paramount importance for success.
