Every meal that we have on a flight is swarming with single-use plastic.

• A spoon
• A knife
• A fork
• Stirrer
• Plastic sheet covering the food and so on...

A single serving will have more than 20 pieces of plastic

All of these end up in the garbage dumps and a very high share finds it way into our oceans, a problem repeatedly highlighted in the last few months through various channels.

The Airlines need to pick up their game and consciously move towards usage of Bio-degradable products.

Plates & Cutlery can be made using various other means:

• Bamboo
• Arecanut leaf

Arecanut leaves specially go waste and are available in plenty in tropical parts of India. This can also provide valuable employment opportunities to local communities.

it is high time Airlines, in partnership with their suppliers work on creating sustainable packaging & serving products, lending a helping hand to our Earth.
