Thank you so much if you have recently signed this petition – please know you are making a difference. As always, my heartfelt thanks to those of you who have been following our progress for a while, your positivity and support keeps us upright.

We are immensely grateful to The Daily Telegraph for championing this campaign and for supporting Jess’s Law. So far, they have published two articles, and they are planning a third piece. ITV News continues to support us as well, which is good. Below is a link to a news bulletin from Monday 13th November.

Undoubtedly, many people have heard about Jess and our calls for change, but I had a little wake-up call this week when I visited my own GP surgery. During my consultation, I discovered an experienced, long-standing GP at the practice did not know my daughter had died. I find it hard to write this. Despite 3 years of campaigning, a petition amassing nearly a 3rd of a million signatures, debates held in parliament, evidence given at a Health Select Committee, and recent media attention, he did know about Jess. Possibly naïve of me to assume he may have.

So, we will continue to work with the media. We realise many of you understand this is not something we undertake lightly or something we ever imagined doing in our previous existence. It is hard having Jess’ life put under a spotlight for people to analyse and comment upon. She was so much more than her illness, our precious girl.

For Jess, and for the people you love the most, we continue.
