Raise nurses wages in line with inflation

As a soon to be newly qualified nurse I am worried about my future. Working multiple jobs and countless hours (usually back to back shifts) to make ends meet, but continually to living paycheck to paycheck is the reality of nurses working in the NHS.
You hear all the time - "I don't do it for the money" and "you won't get rich in the business" but how has it become acceptable to punish nurses financially for such HUGE responsibilities as well as the mental tolls we take... simply as this job is seen as a 'vocation'. I'm not talking about making six figures but what about an HONEST wage that allows people to live comfortably and not fear having to miss a shift because you are ill or a family member is.
Nurses 1% payrise again this year is a kick in the teeth! How can our government think that little of the work we do and resent us earning a wage we deserve. With inflation rising at 2.3% we are actually getting a 1.3% pay cut.... meanwhile M.P's are set for a 1.4% payrise ontop of their 10% payrise last year, meaning they will have had a £9,000 payrise in the last two years.
Nurses have stood back for far too long and taken this financial abuse. I am the future of nursing and so is my cohort and we need to make a change and it needs to start now.... not only for our future but for your future too and the future of the NHS.
