Thank you everyone; we've just this evening made it to FIVE THOUSAND supporters. This is excellent news at a time when we all really do need to pile on the political pressure to #StopBrexit. But of course please do keep on with sharing and talking about this petition. 10,000 signatories would be wonderful - and it's what we need (at least) when we are talking with MPs and other decision-makers. The message I am getting from those legislators who despite everything steadfastly promote #Remain is that only if we manage to shift public opinion with efforts such as this, can they actually achieve what they and we want, and stop #Brexit. Unlike many 'bigger' e-petitions we have no financial or other institutional backing - it's just us - but if anyone does feel they'd like to spare a very small sum to sponsor some extra exposure for the petition, there's a button on this page for you to do so. It would be hugely appreciated if you could all find some way or another to remind other Remainers to share the petition in the next few days.
