As the trees campaign enters what may be a critical phase, we in NO STUMP CITY plan to re-double our efforts and expand independent political action across Sheffield. We are always increasing our people power... but we also need more funds. A NSC crowdfunder in November 2017 raised £750.00 in one week. But most of that money has been spent and hence the need for this 'TOP UP.' We have the same target: £750.00 WHAT’S AHEAD? 1) The same NO STUMP group who prepared the NSC Christmas card are now finalising a new professionally-designed flyer. A total of 5,000 copies will be printed for distribution across Sheffield. First distribution is Saturday, 14 April at our ‘On the Stump Citywide’ event. Watch for announcements… and do come join us. 2) We are finalising other events and interventions and keeping our powder dry as we spread our mantra: the way ahead for the Sheffield trees campaign is to creatively combine non-violent direct action (e.g. standing under threatened trees) with various forms of independent political action.
