CHANGE MINECRAFTS EULA

The Issue

For exactly 5 years the Minecraft community has been built on the foundation of servers providing a valuable multiplayer experience unforseen on any other video game to date. From 2009 with the start of servers in Beta, to thousands of players on one server such as HyPixel's or Nexus, the community has grown because of players like us. We paid for the game, and had a range of infinite possibilities, in singleplayer and multiplayer. We are asking Mojang to change their EULA to allow the use of donations to support servers through options such as recieving additional perks or bonuses.

While there is still a great amount of confusion in regards to the EULA changes, what we do know is that donations that in return include in-game points and extra perks (diamond sets, golden apples, IGN money) are hereby ILLEGAL. When Minecraft updates to 1.7.10 when you donate to a server you will earn NOTHING in return, just the satifaction you helped the server live a little longer.

For some servers I see this being a great idea, especially being kicked out of games for not being VIP. But for hundreds, thousands of others, this decision will be the end. With server bills in the hundreds, even thousands of dollars every month, the donations won't tally up to uphold the server and eventually...one by one....they will fall and shutdown.

I am speaking as an anyomonyous player. Many of you won't know me, many of you have never heard of me. I speak as a player who has watched an amazing community unfold and I will not stand for Mojang to supress our community for the construction of their own (Realms). By signing this petition, you support the players, YouTubers, sevrer owners, coders, admins, mods, everybody and anybody that makes up this community.

Is this the end of us?
