August 2, 2019 is the 40th Anniversary of The Captain Thurman Munson's death. The Yankees are playing at home against their biggest rival the Boston Red Sox. 

This game needs to be dedicated to the memory of The Captain, Thurman Munson. Invite Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, Reggie Jackson, Chris Chambliss, Bucky Dent, Ron Guidry, Willie Randolph, Ron Davis for a pre-game remembrance ceremony.

Munson was the heart of the 1978 World Series team. Everyone knows he played through pain. Munson's locker is the only locker to ever remain empty and was moved to the new Stadium. 

Most people think of Thurman Munson, not Derek Jeter when you say "Captain. " Any baseball fan knows that # 15 on a Yankee shirt is for Thurman Munson.

How do the Yankees release a 2019 promotional schedule and not honor their Catcher and Captain? Shame on the Yankees for ignoring Thurman.
