California Bill 1998 will make it easy to charge doctors for a criminal offense if they prescribe more than a 3-day supply of Norco or Percocet to anyone without "active cancer" by the 4th prescription. Responsible pain patients who have passed all drug tests for 10 years, and who depend on their low dose opioids to live and function, will be cut off. I would bet the lawmakers who wrote this bill never themselves suffered from chronic pain.
