Thank you all so very much for your signatures and your participation in this endeavor. I wanted to let you know that we delivered the results of the petition to the RMMA Airport decision-makers early Friday morning. Jefferson County is starting the process of approving the Strategic Business Plan on Tuesday, 8/11, so we wanted to make sure that they had a chance to review these materials. You can find the whole packet on the website here, if you'd like to know what was sent. And if you'd like to make your voice heard, please consider attending the Community Noise Roundtable this Monday at 9am. Public comment is taken first thing, so you won't have to sit through a three hour meeting in order to have your say.

Do we stop here?

It's more important than ever to keep sharing and signing the petition. We plan on sending regular updates, and it's an important way to communicate these issues to those in our communities who may not be aware of the potential impact of these decisions on their daily lives. Maybe we'll stop when they stop flying leaded exhaust over our homes, schools, and open spaces. Maybe we'll stop when they agree to update their Master Plan and undergo rigorous environmental and noise impact studies. Maybe we'll stop when we feel our voices have been heard. But until then, we will continue to press on to address the issue of noise and pollution in our communities.
