We blew past 100,000 signatures this morning and are on track to hit 250,000 tomorrow if the momentum keeps going. We'll soon have the most public support of any active petition on gun safety! What's different here is that we're laser-focused on Amazon (for now...), and not a making some naive request to Congress or the President. Washington, DC has proven unable & unwilling to act on issues big and small, so we, the people, are taking aim at this one very specific element of the gun safety debate. It's an essential first step to generating change. Speaking of change, Amazon's media hotline, the number we deliberately listed in this petition, is no longer functioning. They've used that for years to communicate with reporters. You're an impressive group! But we're far from done. Amazon stubbornly sticks to its gun while responsible companies like Delta, United, Enterprise, Hertz, MetLife, Symantec, Best Western, LifeLock and many more have severed ties with the NRA. It's part of a pattern - paying lower taxes than anyone else, disrupting cultures and communities where they operate (hello, Seattle), and demanding the world for a new headquarters. Let's stand just a little bit higher today in our opposition to Amazon and Silicon Valley. Keep spreading the word!!!
