Indigenous children continue to be over represented in the child welfare system across Canada, perpetuating the Genocide of Indigenous people in Canada.  As 60s Scoop Survivors and Adoptees, we know firsthand the devastating effects of removing children from their families and culture.

Removing children from their communities and families has long-term devastating effects, and we call on the Ministers of Child and Family Services and Indigenous Affairs and the Prime Minister to commit to reducing the number of Indigenous children in care.

Significant Prevention and Family Enhancement funding is needed now, in order to reduce the number of Indigenous children in care and keep families together.  Please sign this petition to send a message to Justin Trudeau and Jean-Yves Duclos that they need to stop the Genocide!
