On Friday, she met with Justice Party presidential candidate Shim Sang-jung, who said she supports resolution under the UN Convention Against Torture (CAT) and through a National Assembly resolution.
Throughout these meetings, Lee Yong-soo halmoni has maintained that this is a human rights issue that requires cooperation from all parties. Even at 93 years old, she is determined to keep fighting, so that she will not lose face when she meets again with the grandmothers who have already passed away.
