This mandatory class will affect my Avid peers. My peers and I are already in a college focused class that is helping us attain our goals. Why do we need to take this college career and readiness class? Some students need and or want to take this class because they want to be better prepared for the future. Many students complain about not being ready for college which is understandable, but what about the students who don't need the class? What about the students already in a college focused class such as Avid? Some students will be thrown off by this class because it will affect their entire schedule. I want to take french and spanish next year because I love languages but this new mandatory class makes it so that I can't study two languages at a time. This class is not meant for everyone. What about the students who don't plan on going to college? Representative's need to consider everyone when making mandatory classes because decisions like these put some students in disarray.
