With the recent conviction of Pitt Meadows Councillor David Murray and his refusal to step down, it's time we put our collective voice together and stand with Councillor Murray's victim and other victims of abuse/assault that this type of behavior is not okay.

As a father (to a daughter) and as a coach in our community for the past 13 years working specifically with young girls, it angers me that an individual that is convicted of a crime like this can remain representing our City. The Mayor and several other Councillors have either remained silent or supported Mr. Murray even after his conviction. This is not the message we need to be sending to our children, to our young girls and to the countless other victims of sexual assault and/or abuse.

Please join me in sending a very loud and united message to Councillor Murray and Mayor Becker that he needs to resign immediately.
