Due to a documentary that blatantly ignored the positive traits of the classic Simpsons character Apu. The writers have decided to remove him. Apu is much more than just an Indian accent, he is one of the shows most likeable, hardworking, friendly, and memorable characters. While the show has sometimes used Apu as a way to joke about Hindu culture, he has been developed as a person far more than most other characters on televison. To remove Apu and leave charactera like Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel and Luigi Risotto, is not just hypocritical, but shows a clear bias. It is time for us to unite as fans of The Simpsons and not allow censorship and the joke police to invade this show, all becuase one self proclaimed comidean made a documentary.
