Duggan on 911 complaints from business: "I'm not getting that."

An article in today's paper features a Detroit business owner who was told by 911 dispatchers that the reason he wasn't getting police response to a crime in progress was that he wasn't a "Green Light" business. Mayor Duggan's response shows why we need more signatures and more awareness to the 911 response time problem: "When told some business owners feel they’re being slighted because they already pay taxes and shouldn’t have to pay extra for prompt police response, Duggan said: 'I’m not getting that.' 'The level of enthusiasm is so high,' he said. 'Our resistance comes almost entirely from people who appear to have a relationship with the people up to no good in their parking lots.'
