An update on the business case for Sexpo’s return to London

The first UK Sexpo was held in 2015 at Olympia, under a licence agreement. The event coincided with the tragic Paris bombings that same weekend; as a result, visitor numbers failed to reach projections. The UK licence is now held by Sexpo (international).
Unfortunately, Olympia has no dates available for us, as is the case with every other venue we have approached.
We are now left with no alternative than to first run a smaller event in London for members of our database. As a result, we are now looking at venues upwards of 3,000sqm. Once we have located a suitable venue we will offer to pre-sell tickets to those on our database before any public release. We would expect to limit numbers to 15,000 visitors over 3 days.
The only reason we are focused on a London event, before any regional centres, is that we have more than 20,000 contacts over our @SexpoUK Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms, and including our email database. Most of these contacts are London based as a result of the 2015 event, the Change dot org petition and considerable amount of Facebook advertising that has been focused on London residents.
We are committed to bringing Sexpo back to the UK but, in fairness to our shareholders, we must first capitalise on the efforts that has been put into marketing to those people in and around the Greater London area. Our marketing and advertising strategy would have been somewhat different if we had been able to foresee the issues we are experiencing with venues in London.
In the meantime, we will be launching Sexpo’s Got Talent (@SexpoTalent) in the not too distant future. Also, we do have an online store for all UK residents.
Please understand that we are fully invested in a return to the UK, one way or another, and do intend to visit Birmingham and other cities in future.
Yours sincerely,
David Ross
