Here we are about to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow while Jamekia's family is marking this month 7 years since 16 year old Jamekia disappeared without a trace! This young girl did not run away. Something horrible happened to her 7 years ago and the Charlotte police department needs to admit they made a mistake. she did not run away because if she did she would have came home by now and most defiantly would have been active on her social media accounts. Jamekia has been failed because of the neighborhood she was from along with her race. She was stereo typed the moment her mother made the call. Please help me be her voice after 7 long years of her not being able to speak for herself. We need to speak for her for all missing black children who deserve the same dedication from the detectives that a 15 year old white child would receive. So please say her name JAMEKIA! She will not be another dusty file on a shelf. Not as long as we continue to be her voice!

Here we are at the 7 year mark. How is it acceptable that a 16 year old child vanishes and we cant get over 1500 signatures, we are standing still on shares, and all it takes to get this petition where we need it to be is people with empathy because this can happen to ANYONE so why such a lack of compassion? Come on everyone its another Thanksgiving without any more answers than the family had 7 years ago. Lets get her name and her story out there. Jamekia could be your sister, daughter, or friend. We are all she has so lets be her voice!
