The intentional killing of an animal is punished with jail time under the Romanian Law for the Protection of Animals, 9/2008 

Legea 9/2008 pentru protectia animalelor pedepseste cu inchisoare pana la 3 ani, uciderea cu intentie a unui animal.

Based on the information in the Romanian Media and the Social Media, on July 23, 2015 Marius Alexandru Tone from , Berceni-Bucharest  gave the command to attack to his dog Cane Corso when his neighbor wanted to exist the apartment building to walk her dogs . She managed to secure three of them, but the older one was too slow and got mauled by Tone's dog. Seeing that his dog did not kill the poor animal, Tone stomped on him until he died. We mention that the woman has proper ownership documents for all her dogs.

Pe baza informatiilor aparute in media romana si pe internet, in data de 23 iulie, 2015, Marius Tone a dat comanda cainelui sau , rasa Cane Corso sa atace cainii vecinei sale, pe care tocmai ii scotea la plimbare . Din declaratiile date la politie si in media reiese ca femeia a reusit sa apere trei din cei patru caini ai sai, cel mai batran insa a fost atacat din plin de cainele lui Tone. Vazand ca nu a fost ucis de cainele sau, Marius Tone a sarit pe caine pana l-a omorat EL.

It is our understanding that the case is under investigation by the local police, but we want to make sure that this individual is charged according all Romanian laws which can be applied to his case. Intentional killing of an animal, using a dog as a weapon, most likely lack of ownership documents for his own dog, who under the Romanian Law For Dangerous Dogs ( OUG 55/2002) had to wear a muzzle and be kept on leash.

Suntem informati ca acest caz este in cercetare, insa dorim sa insistam ca acest individ sa fie deferit justitie pe baza tuturor legilor in vigoare care pot fi aplicate acestui caz. Uciderea cu intentie a unui animal se pedepseste cu inchisoare pana la 3 ani, conform legii 9/2008. De asemenea trebuie aplicat OUG.55/2002  privind regimul de detinere al cainilor periculosi sau agresivi care stipuleaza clar ca un caine rasa Cane Corso, trebuia sa fie tinut in lesa si sa aiba botnita.

Capitolul I - Dispozitii generale
Art. 6
(1) In sensul prezentei legi, prin rau tratament se intelege comportamentul brutal, abuzul in utilizarea animalelor, supunerea animalelor la eforturi inutile, precum si neasigurarea conditiilor prevazute la art. 5 alin. (1).
(2) In sensul prezentei legi, prin cruzime fata de animale se intelege:
a) omorarea animalelor, cu intentie;
Omorarea animalelor cu intentie se pedepseste cu INCHISOARE
Capitolul VII - Sanctiuni
Art. 25Capitolul I - Dispozitii generale
(1) Constituie infractiune si se pedepseste cu inchisoare de la 3 luni la un an sau cu amenda:
a) uciderea animalelor, cu intentie, fara drept;

We the signatories of this petition ask that this individual will be punished at the full extend of all Romanian Laws in Force which can relate to his case, not only laws mentioned above. This kind of actions MUST be punished in the most severe way. We ask for JAIL TIME, for the killing of his neighbor's dog.

Noi, semnatarii acestei petitii cerem ca acest individ sa fie pedepsit  pe baza tuturor legilor in vigoare in Romania pe care le-a incalcat, nu numai cele mentionate mai sus. Cerem pedeapsa cu INCHISOARE pentru uciderea intentionata a cainelui vecinei sale. 

All those who lied to the police, uttered threats towards that woman must also be severely punished. 

De asemenea toti cei care au mintit la politie si au amenintat pe acea femeie, trebuie sa fie pedepsiti in modul cel mai sever. 

The time has come that Romania punish cruelty to animals in the most severe way.

A venit timpul ca Romania sa pedepseasca actele de cruzime asupra animalelor.
