British Airways Plc’s cabin-crew union is suing the airline over the loss of travel benefits after workers went on strike earlier this year in a dispute over working conditions and pay. British Airways and Unite, which represents 12,000 flight attendants, have been locked in the dispute since February last year. The carrier suspended travel perks for any staff that took part in 22 days of walkouts between March and June. The airline has until November to file its defense, Unite spokeswoman Pauline Doyle said in an e-mail today. British Airways said it was confident that it hadn’t broken the law when it suspended the travel benefits. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-09-30/british-airways-sued-by-cabin-crew-union-over-lost-travel-perks
