Golfview manor is in terrible & hazardous condition. Numerous tenets have reported these issues & nothing is done. There is pictures & proof of these claims along with abc 57 doing a story on it. Past employees have came forward to finally tell the truth of how horrible this place is & it needs shut down or to atleast give tenants the opportunity to break a lease with no legal consequence. Code enforcement & health department are of no help. Code enforcement claims the issues are fixed “pretty quick” & the health department doesn’t want to shut the place down because people will lose their homes so instead we are forced to live in horrible conditions or be sued for breaking a lease.
Black mold, no ac all year (some have been without it for multiple years) no heat, broken out dated appliances, multiple buildings are condemned, Horrible leaks, ceilings caving in, faulty wiring that starts fires, some sections are vacant still filled with peoples belongings because of roaches/bed bugs. The manager claims she won’t call anyone about bugs until multiple apartments report them. The owner & manager are aware of all of this. Once the news aired the manager told the maintenance men NO they weren’t allowed to work on our places because she is mad we told the news about the conditions. She then stated buy out from the lease is no longer $1390 (2 months rent) she added a $450 fee just because of the news report.
