Reducing the Amount of Trees Harvested in Oregon Forests

The Issue

In Oregon, tree harvesting has a huge impact on our environment. It degrades the quality of the soil, stability of the land, makes it easier for debris to get into our rivers and streams and decimates animal habitats that depend on trees or general shelter.

We are petitioning to keep ten percent of trees per acre that is deforested. And while this might not seem like a lot, that ten percent will largely benefit the issues listed above and leaves lots of lumber to be harvested by logging companies.

By signing this petition, you are helping Oregon forests, increasing the cleanliness of our waters and helping protect and shelter wildlife all over the state.
