The inclusion of abortion should be altered in the Contraception, Sterilisation, and Abortion Act 1977 to include a provision for fully funded counselling (5 sessions) for both the patient any others directly effected. Currently the law permits women to have an abortion if having a child could be detrimental to their mental health and physical wellbeing. This is under the consideration that it is performed by a specialised doctor and not procuring abortion by any means.
