We were able to talk with two lawyers that are very interested in fighting for our kids! Here is a great update from our friend Jamie!

The plan is that we would file a lawsuit seeking to permanently enjoin the State of Illinois, Illinois Department of Education, DCFS, and Illinois Health Department from enforcing the mask mandate for children ages 2 and up in daycare and school settings. Our action would include families from various counties across the state of Illinois and we would recruit experts in the fields of epidemiology, virology, pediatric psychology, pediatric speech and language pathology, engineering, and industrial hygiene among others to support our case.

Our lawsuit would argue that the states prolonged forced masking policy has greatly harmed children academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while providing no benefit to limiting transmission of COVID-19 in daycares or schools.

The lawyers are working to put together a formal proposal for us to share with all of you. We have another call scheduled with them at the end of next week and should have more information on cost, etc. in the next few days.

***we will need doctors, speech therapist, pediatricians, preschool teachers, daycare owners etc that would be willing to testify to the horrific effects of extended masking in this age group. Once we have the lawyers proposal we will also began fundraising. This, like the K-12 case is not going to turn around in a week. We must keep fighting for our littles!
