Today we saw first-hand some of the hard work being done by selfless community and environmental groups and individuals here on the Central Coast. For many years now community groups, organisations and passionate individuals have been campaigning for our council to accept stewardship of our amazing natural assets. Many have worked tirelessly to campaign for the council to put in place strong policies to manage and protect our trees and natural spaces. Today GUST had the chance to meet with some of the members of these groups when we joined them outside the Central Coast Council Chambers in a show of solidarity. One of these groups, Kariong Eco Garden, has been featured (along with this petition), in the recent issue of Central Coast Community News (link below). We're proud to be a part of this important part of the Central Coast's history....and to be helping to support the work of these groups striving to make the Central Coast greener for generations to come.
