St Luke’s Community Centre is calling for a review on the decision to cut funding towards its Early Dementia Service. The Early Dementia Service enables eleven local people living with dementia to access day care at our modern Community Centre, with therapies including music therapies, seated exercise, reminiscence, arts and crafts and much more. There is transport to and from the Centre, with a freshly made healthy meal at lunchtime. Islington Council currently contributes funding towards a driver and care worker, with St Luke’s contributing extra staff, the venue and therapeutic activities.
