As Isle of Wight residents we  believe the decision to close the Isle of Wight CCTV and not to have personnel to monitor the cameras is wrong. Only today their was a report in the local media how the operators managed to track two shoplifters who stole £500 of goods from local businesses. Members of the public need to feel safe and have the reassurance of the cameras.  We have also heard increasing reports of Anti social behaviour. Without the help of these cameras focusing the cameras the crimes committed may have to be dropped due no evidence. We as the undersigned implore the Council to reverse the decision and keep this service
