In the newspaper this week there was a story relating to the Government pulling out of negotiations with Manx Gas after 2 years. 

Many of you that signed the recent petition will also be members of the IOM GAS CUSTOMERS WORKING GROUP FACEBOOK GROUP. To keep you up to date I thought I would paste the comment I made on the group last night relating to this story.

Pulling the plug on the gas deal is a good thing folks. It is the best possible scenario.

We now have a regulator.
We now have a promise that new regulation is forthcoming.
There will be a debate regarding rebates
No more stupid deals.
All recommendations of the NERA REPORT implemented.

A "deal" would not have been a good deal for consumers. It's a night you should be very happy. We are doing good!

I hope that might put your mind to rest as I realise after 5 years the subject matter is complicated. Just to finish, Tynwald will be worth your ear this month. The Petition, or letter as it might be referred too, will be discussed as hopefully will rebates/refunds. From my perspective, refunds/rebates are the only part left of the jigsaw to assemble.
