The Church of Scientology habitually and pathologically lies about so many matters of substance. Based upon Scientology's documented pattern of lying, the IRS was wrong to grant Scientology tax exemption in 1993. The blame for Scientology's tax exemption can be laid at the feet of former IRS Commissioner Fred Goldberg. Fred Goldberg has remained silent on Scientology and refuses to defend his actions in approving a new 1023 application and review. Goldberg refuses to address why he skewed the review process in Scientology's favor. Goldberg will not accept any moral culpability for the Scientology evil he greenlighted. One example: Goldberg completely ignored the gigantic lies Scientology told its own parishioners about the death of L. Ron Hubbard. David Miscavige and his colleagues engaged in outright fraud when they told Scientology parishioners how L. Ron Hubbard died. Scientologists were not told the truth. Today's linked article describes the real details of L. Ron Hubbard's death and the way in which the Church of Scientology lied about it.
