A great story in People Magazine shows why Scientology celebrities receive better treatment than rank and file Scientologists. Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez are best friends. Jennifer's father has been a member of the Church of Scientology for a long time. According to Scientology's horrible policy of Disconnection, Jennifer's father is supposed to disconnect from his daughter because she is "connected" to Leah -- and Leah is a declared SP (Suppressive Person). This has not happened because Jennifer Lopez in an international superstar. Scientologist Tom Cruise has received many special favors and special treatment from the Church of Scientology. Under IRS rules, Tom Cruise is what is called a "disqualified person" but this has not stopped Church leader David Miscavige from having his Sea Org members do work on Cruise's homes, cars, RV, and even his airplane hangar. Unless they are celebrities, Scientology breaks up the families of everyone in else in the Church who are connected to SP's. Scientology needs to stop breaking up families and yet it refuses to do so. Breaking up families, ordering married couples to divorce, and forbidding children to see their family members who are "SP's" is brutal and inhumane.
