Dear All,

This is a critical time in Ireland. As we all know we like most countries are an ageing population. By 2030, less than 4 years time we will be a country of close to 1 million people over 65 years old. By 2050 our older generation will be double that of 15-24 year olds.

Our Government continue to ignore the Rights of our older people. Our national healthcare system (HSE) continues to deny the most basic of Human Rights of our older people.

Age Discrimination not only persists but is endemic within our society but is seen and experienced so brazenly within healthcare in Ireland today. 

We are all facing a massive tidal wave and currently we will all be left without a paddle or a lifejacket!

We are calling everyone to get behind this campaign and sign the petition, share it with family, friends, work colleagues those within Ireland and those who have been forced to emigrate to find work or those who have left the diaspora but continue to support their people.

We need you all , our older people need us all to rally around and show them they truly matter. Human Rights matter for all ages! 

It is in the best interest of each and every single person in this land to ensure our older people are both respected, protected, given their own voices back, their independence. What happens today will affect how the children of tomorrow will be treated in the future . 

Help us to help them so they can help themselves.

Students, Nurses, Doctors, those within the care community, all citizens who love their country and want a better present to ensure a better future. Get behind this campaign so we can send a real message to our Politicians that we need a massive paradigm shift now! We need to see a change in hearts and minds and attitudes. We need to see the political will change. Only with this can change come.
