Confirmed DEAD: Horse who fell three times in races
A horse who suffered three falls in races over the past year has been confirmed dead by Horse Racing Ireland.
British horse Choccabloc was last seen falling at a “Whitford Hotel” fence at Wexford racecourse on 25 October 2026. It was the 8-year-old’s final race.
Sickening footage of the fall can be seen at https://www.racingtv.com/watch/replays/2026-10-25/wexford/1325 (05:04)
In his previous race on 10 April 2026 - also at Wexford racecourse - Choccabloc fell at the third fence.
He also “fell heavily” in a race on St Stephen’s Day at Limerick Racecourse.
In three races in February, March and April, he was pulled up.
Choccabloc is among a growing list of horse racing victims. Find out more at

TAKE ACTION
Don’t bet on horse racing or attend horse racing events.
Since 2001, the Irish Government has granted €1.54 Billion of public funds to horse racing, with €81.6 million more allocated for 2027. Contact the Taoiseach and Tanaiste and demand an end to state funding to this gambling activity which causes so much suffering and death. Tell them to redirect the funds to the many deserving charities, health/homeless/environmental groups, sports clubs, animal rescue centres, etc crying out for support.
