Today, the Irish Council Against Blood Sports and Greyhound Action Ireland launched a new nationwide billboard campaign which calls on voters, in the run-up to Election 2020, to "demand an end to state funding of cruel greyhound racing".

The billboards highlight the fact that since 2001, the government has shamefully squandered €273 million of taxpayers' money on greyhound racing.

As confirmed by a RED C opinion poll commissioned by the Irish Council Against Blood Sports, two out of every three Irish adults want the state funding to be ended. It's time for our politicians to listen and take action.

Please consider donating to support the campaign and help bring the new billboards to more locations. Donate now at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-fund-ban-greyhound-racing-billboards

Many thanks to all those who have so generously donated to-date.

Before you vote on 8th February, question candidates about where they stand on greyhound racing and other animal cruelty issues.

Please check out the views of candidates on our special election page https://banbloodsports.wordpress.com/2020/01/08/general-election-2020-candidates-and-animal-cruelty-issues/

Please reject candidates who support animal cruelty and give your Number 1 vote to any candidate who pledges to push for an end to greyhound racing, hare coursing, foxhunting, etc.
