The latest "Adverse Analytical Findings" published by the Irish Greyhound Board show that prohibited substances are continuing to be detected in greyhounds at tracks around the country.
According to the IGB report, prohibited substances were found in samples taken from dogs at Shelbourne Park, Mullingar, Thurles and Dundalk tracks.
On 18 August at Shelbourne Park stadium in Dublin, Flufenamic Acid was detected in Greenisle Hades who finished fifth in the Round 1 Heat 15 "2018 BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby" race.
That same day at Thurles track, Ibuprofen was found in 2-year old greyhound Caitlynsvictoria. It was her third appearance at the track and she hasn't been raced since.
On 26 August, Propranolol was detected in a sample taken from a greyhound at Mullingar track and on 15th August, Carprofen in a dog raced at Dundalk stadium.
