Thanks to all that signed the petition - Although a small gesture, it's better than doing nothing. Please share far and wide in the hope that the Irish government will take heed and apply the necessary diplomatic pressure on the Russian and Syrian governments. As I write this, the ceasefire has broken and heavy shelling has resumed in a small densely populated area where the people of Aleppo are taking refuge. Shelling of such a small area can be likened to shooting fish in a barrel so you can imagine the injuries and mortality rates of todays actions. Again, thanks to everyone for supporting this petition and the heartfelt messages posted to the comments section.
