Dear Revered Vada Dasturjis and respected members of the Nav Kutumbi families who are custodians, since the past 1000+ years, of our most sacred Paak Iranshah.
This is to draw your very valued attention to this petition, link below, which is our plea that attempts and actions, as detailed in the petition, be considered that would pave the way to perpetuate the immensely sacred atmosphere of Paak Iranshah and the Parsi vintageness of Udvada gaam.
The petition is signed this far by 10380 individuals, which demonstrates that the best interest of Iranshah is in the hearts of many people.
The petition is addressed to the Hon.PM Shri Narendra Modi, which is done to get his patronage, blessings and signal to relevant authorities to help/ clear the way for certain aims of the petition.
The petition is placed before your goodselves, because you, honorable Vada Dasturjis and the Nine families, have the future of Iranshahji's and Udvada's unique and irreplaceable heritage in your hands, to nurture for our future generations to continue maintaining traditions of our very ancient religion, and to ensure it is not effected by modern urbanised development.
There is absolutely no desire to put pressure or create any discomfort or confusion, but that very simply put is this plea, that this 1000 + years old religious heritage needs to be preserved in the coming difficult years, where the aggressive urbanization, taking place in other towns. is not allowed here. ( Every modern innovation, digital and internet/ wifi facilities, medical aids and security, police and private setups etc can be developed here, within and around the vintage houses, but a concrete jungle of residential etc blocks, and the increase in population and traffic that comes with this, that will surely destroy the unique medieval and Zoroastrian atmosphere of the gaam should be avoided . The best example of how well heritage is preserved can be seen in Rome and Vatican State and in several European cities like Venice, Bruges, Paris, Stockholm and many other towns, where all modern amenities exist within the old heritage structures.) A very sad example of undesirable urbanisation is seen, as per recent news reports, where garbage is thrown on the roof of our Paak Anjuman Atashbehram, in Mumbai, from apartments in the adjoining highrise building.
The signatories to this petition are Parsi Irani Zoroastrians and also some others. We are all deeply aware that the vision and aims herein can never materialize without you worthies taking it upon your shoulders, for the ultimate good of Zoroastrianism. Iranshah and Udvada.
