Maneli was denied access to language course and going to school due to her gender identity as a trans woman. This reflects a wider issue of discrimination against trans people within education systems in Armenia.

These past seven months have been incredibly difficult for her, with numerous violations of your basic human rights occurring on a daily basis. All while fighting for her right to seek asylum in another country. It has been a long road full of hardships, but it is essential that we recognize how far she has come and the strength she has shown throughout this journey. We hope that one day soon she can find safety and peace in a place where your human rights are respected and protected.
