EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stressed that the sanctions send a clear message: Iran’s future cannot be built on repression. The measures are part of the EU’s broader effort to hold Iranian authorities accountable for domestic abuses.
During a European Parliament debate on the Middle East crisis, lawmakers, including MEP Jeroen Lenaers, linked the unrest in Iran to decades of political repression. They emphasized that the current turmoil reflects not only recent events but also long-standing violations of human rights, suppression of dissent, and restrictions on freedom of expression under Iran’s ruling establishment.
The EU’s strategy combines immediate actions, such as sanctions, with a commitment to ensure that responses to the crisis respect international law. Lawmakers highlighted that addressing both the ongoing conflict and the systemic repression is essential for long-term stability and accountability in Iran.
In the coming days, we will submit a petition to relevant parties, accompanied by a principled declaration entitled “Iran 2026: International Call for Action and Transitional Change”.
The declaration, issued under threat from the Islamic Republic of Iran and amid the ongoing conflict, represents the voice of the Iranian diaspora. It calls for the protection of human rights, the liberation of Iran from oppression, and a transitional change leading to democratic system under the leadership of Reza Pahlavi.

در تاریخ ۱۱ مارس ۲۰۲۶، فرستادگان اتحادیهٔ اروپا بستهای از تحریمها را تصویب کردند که ۱۹ مقام و نهاد ایرانی را به دلیل نقض جدی حقوق بشر هدف قرار میدهد. کایا کالاس، مسئول سیاست خارجی اتحادیهٔ اروپا، تأکید کرد که این تحریمها پیامی روشن دارند: آیندهٔ ایران نمیتواند بر پایهٔ سرکوب ساخته شود. این اقدامات بخشی از تلاش گستردهتر اتحادیهٔ اروپا برای پاسخگو کردن مقامات ایرانی در قبال نقض حقوق بشر در داخل کشور است.
در جریان مناظرهای در پارلمان اروپا دربارهٔ بحران خاورمیانه، نمایندگان پارلمان از جمله یرون لِنارز ناآرامیهای ایران را به دههها سرکوب سیاسی مرتبط دانستند. آنان تأکید کردند که وضعیت کنونی تنها نتیجهٔ رویدادهای اخیر نیست، بلکه بازتابی از سالها نقض حقوق بشر، سرکوب مخالفان و محدودیتهای شدید بر آزادی بیان در چارچوب حاکمیت فعلی ایران است.
راهبرد اتحادیهٔ اروپا ترکیبی از اقدامات فوری، از جمله تحریمها، و تعهد به این اصل است که واکنشها به بحران باید با حقوق بینالملل سازگار باشد. قانونگذاران تأکید کردند که رسیدگی همزمان به درگیری جاری و سرکوب ساختاری برای دستیابی به ثبات بلندمدت و پاسخگویی در ایران ضروری است.
در روزهای آینده، ما دادخواستی را به طرفهای مرتبط ارائه خواهیم کرد که همراه با یک جُلوکلاوسوما / بیانیهٔ اصولی با عنوان
«ایران ۲۰۲۶: فراخوان بینالمللی برای اقدام و گذار انتقالی»
منتشر خواهد شد.
این جُلوکلاوسوما (بیانیه) که در شرایط تهدید از سوی جمهوری اسلامی ایران و در میانهٔ درگیریهای جاری صادر میشود، بازتابدهندهٔ صدای ایرانیان خارج از کشور است. این متن خواستار حفاظت از حقوق بشر، رهایی ایران از سرکوب، و تحقق یک گذار انتقالی تحت رهبری رضا پهلوی است.
