Dear Petition Signees and Citizens of Ipswich,
In a single week, we have raised more signatures and heard from more voices opposed to the changes to the Cornhill, than IBC have managed to gain in favour of the plans during their supposed five years of planning! What you have all been a part of is extraordinary, and I congratulate you.
We have got those in opposition to us on the back foot. They are afraid of the people (you!) speaking up. All they could muster in response to the thousands who have cried out against the plans, is a feeble article by the IBC's obedient lapdog Paul Geater, citing IBC chief David Ellesmere. Geater insulted us all, calling us "whingers and moaners", and told us to simply give up. Bad news Mr Geater, because I shall do no such thing! Geater's childish epithets do nothing to address your important concerns, in which he appears to hold in utter contempt.
Despite our success so far, it is imperative you keep on sharing the petition, keeping up the momentum, and gathering more signatures. In the meantime myself and my growing team of passionate Ipswich residents are working on turning your signatures into a real outcome. Keep telling your friends, family, colleagues, cousins, second-cousins, long lost twins, and estranged step-mothers!
To make sharing the petition even easier, we now have the domain name savethecornhill.co.uk
Finally, watch this space! For in the coming days I have more exciting developments in the pipeline for you all regarding the petition.
Warmest regards,
Dan
