"To this day in the last eight and a half years I have not seen one eucalyptus leaf burn. 49 fire aftermaths I've analyzed, and yet not one eucalyptus leaf burned.   Very similar to California bay leaves. I've not seen those burn either. Pretty scary what I've figured out in the last 8 and 1/2 years. The fire behaviors I've seen are basically opposite of everything I've seen in the high Sierra and Coast ranges of California in the last 51 years of mountain climbing.. all my close friends I grew up with will not believe me and have de-friended me.    Bay and eucalyptus trees are the most highly flammable trees on Earth.   They are flaming torches usually.  They are not catching flame as they always do in an organic fire.
