Supporters,
The math of Governor Sherrill’s first week in office doesn't add up for humanity. On January 11th, the legislature took a 67% raise. On January 20th, the Governor took an oath and a raise to $210,000.
Meanwhile, a massive winter storm is hitting our streets. While officials are safe behind their raises, my disabled trauma family and our documented service animal are being pushed into a Code Blue by the Monmouth County DCA and Bridges Outreach.
Since 1980, nearly 2 million people have died from homelessness in this country. We have trillions for war and billions for raises, but "no room in the budget" for a family with a service dog.
We are demanding an immediate audit of the agencies managed by Jacqueline Surez and Matthew Baxter.
How you can help right now:
1. Share this flyer: Download the image I’ve attached to this update and post it on social media.
2. Tag the Governor: Ask her directly: Who will take a pay cut for humanity?
3. Print it out: If you can, print this flyer and post it in your local community to help us gain visibility.
Thank you for standing with us in the storm.
