Hi neighbors,
With temperatures hitting a freezing 14 degrees, we are officially in a Code Blue. While many of us are tucked away safely, many others in our community—including families, children, and even vulnerable animals—are currently without housing, food, or basic support.
I am reaching out to ask everyone to lead with empathy and compassion today. It truly takes a village, and right now, that village needs to look out for its most vulnerable members.
✍️ Help Us Be The Change
Beyond checking on your neighbors, we are fighting for systemic support. We are only 3 signatures away from our goal of 50 on our Change.org petition. Please take a moment to sign and help us advocate for those who need it most.
How you can help right now:
• Check on others: Reach out to the elderly, those living alone, or families you know are struggling. A quick check-in is vital for their mental and emotional well-being.
• Keep an eye on animals: With it being 14 degrees, please ensure pets and service animals are safe and off the frozen ground.
• Share Resources: If you see someone out in the cold, provide info on local warming centers or call for a welfare check.
Let’s look after each other’s physical and emotional safety. We are all in this together.
Stay safe and stay warm.
