Since launching this petition, we have reached 31 signatures—thank you to everyone who has stood with us so far. However, despite naming specific individuals—including Jaclynn Trakalo and Matthew Baxter—there has been a deafening silence from Monmouth and Essex County agencies.

Accountability cannot happen in the dark. While these officials remain silent, the reality of homelessness continues to take a devastating toll.

In particular, I want to highlight the impact on our documented service animal. A service animal is not just a pet; they are vital medical equipment and a lifeline for a disabled person. Being forced into housing instability disrupts the animal's ability to work, creates immense stress for a creature trained to provide calm, and jeopardizes the health of the entire family.

These agencies are funded to prevent this exact type of trauma, yet their misconduct has caused it. We aren't just asking for answers; we are demanding an investigation into why these safety nets are being pulled away from those who need them most.

How you can help today:

1. Share this update directly to your Facebook or X (Twitter) feed.

2. Tag the NJ Department of Community Affairs (DCA) in your posts to let them know we are waiting for a response.

3. Keep the momentum going—we are only 19 signatures away from our next goal of 50!

Thank you for being our voice.
