It is the law in Indiana that ALL OVERDOSE DEATHS be investigated.

This is my story that I’ve reported to the authorities that hopefully will investigate the corruption allowed in Richmond Indiana.
My daughter passed away from a Fentanyl overdose on 12-21-16. It happened at my home. The officers of the Richmond Police Department appeared as if they were gathering evidence at my home that night. It had been about 3 weeks & I never received a call from any detective so I decided to call them. They connected me to the lead detective of the department. I was told that it is his decision to decide if a case should be investigated. He said my daughters case didn’t “warrant an investigation”. I told him one of the officers told me that they will do whatever they can to help Prosecute the dealer who gave her the Fentanyl. The lead detective laughed & said “No that’s not how this thing goes”. I asked him what evidence they collected. He told me to hold on & came back on the phone to tell me they found a syringe. I asked him what they did with it. He replied “ it was disposed of properly into a Sharp’s container”. I informed him that I figured out who gave her that Fentanyl & the dealer who supplied it for him to sell. He said “That would be impossible to prove” & maybe “an estimated 1 per every 500 that goes to court wiill actually be found guilty”. I asked if he would at least look at her unlocked phone that had text & Facebook open for anyone to view. He said “No that won’t be necessary”. I’ve obtained copies of the police reports. They all contradict each other. Biggest contradiction was that there was a syringe & tie off by her. That is a lie because my son & I were looking for them before the police got there. There wasn’t even a baggie with any dope in it by her. She had 4 1/2 times the LETHAL limit of Fentanyl in her body. She would’ve immediately fell unresponsive & would not have been physically able to get rid of anything. I believe someone was with her when she died & took the evidence with them. After my daughters death they made it a law to investigate all overdose deaths but RPD is failing the community. The lead detective is BREAKING THE LAW. Plz help
