Hello everyone,
It's been a while since an update, but we do have a lot going on in Ontario around childcare. Before and after care an important issue in a crisis right now, but it is just one part of a much larger childcare crisis in this province.
The Ontario Government is not investing what it promised as part of the Federal $10/day childcare program. In fact, they are setting it up to fail and all signs point toward saying the Feds mucked it up, so privatization is the answer.

PLEASE, watch this reel by @thisismomsatwork on Instagram - a call for all of us, but especially grandparents, to CALL YOUR MPP and ask WHY is the province not funding the program? To DEMAND that they fund the program.
Your tax dollars should be used towards this program instead of starving it.

Scroll down just slightly to input your address and have the info pop up for you! So easy! Take 5 minutes to call and ASK WHY they are not funding. Tell them they should be funding, or else, next election they're going to lose out on your vote.
Don't believe they're looking to privatize? Check out this post from @thisismomsatwork showing that two private daycares have signed up to lobby our provincial government.
And guess what? The $10/day program impacts before and after care too. Kids under 6 years old are covered under this program and not funding childcare impacts the staffing of the industry overall.
It's time for ALL OF US to speak up.
