Firstly, thank you to everyone who has signed the petition. We hope that, in time, your support will change the mind of the Post Office. 

Your name, along with more than 2,500 others, were handed in to the Post Office in front of Cobble Corner to explain to them why we need one urgently. 

A fair few local residents also came to explain to the Area Manager for the Post Office why a service is so desperately needed. As did a cross party delegation of politicians.
We managed to get some local paper coverage here and here .

Annoyingly they still aren't budging.

However, our next step will be to write to the candidates in the forthcoming General Election to ask each of them whether they will back the campaign that you so kindly signed to get some post office services back into the town. 

We will keep you posted as to what their responses are and we will keep trying!
